The name “In the Gritty” is a play on the word ‘integrity’. To be “in the gritty” means a state of hardship and troubled times. This contrasts the definition of ‘integrity’ in a positive way.
To portray the meaning of “In the Gritty”, I want to use a variety of fonts, this way I can also show the meaning of ‘integrity’. The fonts used are Carbonized Timber, Cheap Ink Killed my Printer, and Distorted & Scratchy.
“In the Gritty” will be a production company for independent films. The target market is an open-minded audience expecting great quality movies. The message I want to portray in the logo is that anything is possible with applied integrity. Even to get you up when you’re stuck in the gritty.
Mainly, “In the Gritty” will be monochromatic. So the least amount of colors will be used. The stationery set will use colors that look like cardboard, to represent the gritty aspect of the logo.
